STRAVA ROUTE: Sunset Park and Brooklyn’s Chinatown by {chinatown} runners
Meet Tony Cheong and Victoria Lo. Tony is a lifelong Brooklyn resident and longtime runner, and Victoria is the founder of {chinatown} runners.
On this running route, we’ll explore Brooklyn through the perspective of Victoria and Tony, starting in Park Slope and ending in Sunset Park’s Chinatown. You can start this journey and exploration of Brooklyn by meeting at the Brooklyn Running Company, one of {chinatown} runners' partners in solidarity, located just across the street from the 2/3 Bergen Street train station.
New to NYRR Running Routes, we’re splitting this route into two segments: On the Run and After the Run, to show you things you’ll see while you’re on the route as well as places you can go during your cool-down.
View each image for quotes from Victoria and Tony on why they selected each location to include in their route.
And if you’d like to learn more, hear from Victoria and Tony in this month's segment of NYRR’s Long Runs, Short Stories on YouTube, and listen to Victoria's vision of building a movement of change on an episode of our podcast, Habitual Routine.
